A child by any other name would be just as precious.
Last week, this sweet little girl came to Casa de Fe. Her name is Jocelyn Evelyn, but we already have a Jocelyn in her room/age group, so the staff decided to call her by her middle name, Evelyn.
Problem solved….
Don’t you know God has a sense of humor? The very next day, this beautiful young lady came to stay with us at Casa de Fe. Her name?
Evelyn, of course!
Would you join me in praying for these two girls–that their transition to life at Casa de Fe would be a smooth one? that they would know their value in Christ? and that their home situations would be resolved according to God’s perfect will?
Please pray specifically for “little Evelyn”. She has mild paralysis on her right side due to cerebral palsy, and she has some issues with her eyes. Specific prayers for “big Evelyn” also. She has vision problems and got glasses just a couple days ago. Please pray for her emotional healing since she has witnessed things that no one should see.
He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. ~Mark 10:14b
Beautiful girls. May their lives be blessed and wrongs healed through the loving care they will receive as an extension of Christ!
Amen to what Lacey said.
So funny that you got an Evelyn right after you thought you solved the name issue. 😉 God is totally in all those little things and He loves to remind us He's there.
Praying for the girls and the rest of your group!
Precious girls. I had to smile at this story. Now we have a way to remember them better. The two Evelyns….will be praying for them.
