This was our book for preschool day a few weeks ago, just before I became “bed-ridden”. I haven’t had a chance to post about it, so I thought I would do that today since I don’t have anything new to share about me or baby.
The Big Green Pocketbook by Candice Ransom and illustrated by Felicia Bond is a fun book about a little girl’s day running errands with her mom. And in case you don’t recognize the illustrator’s name, she illustrated If you Give a Moose a Muffin, If You Give a Pig a Pancake, etc. I thought it was neat that my older two kids recognized her style & asked (before I told them) if it was the same illustrator.
We made a lapbook with lots of fun things to remind us of our story, and we made a shopping bag to carry on our trips to the grocery store. The plan was to make our own GREEN pocketbook, but Wal-Mart was out of green felt–what’s up with that?!
They are just so adorable!! I found another cool blog with a really cool idea…which is probably right up your alley. check out the white mud post…
