These were harvested from a tree behind our house. Behind JC? Yep, that’s where the jungle begins.
JP had to supervise the operation. And yes, Hubs is wearing MY houndstooth rain boots!
We actually didn’t keep these. We took them to Casa de Fe.
And he rocked those boots!! LOL BTW, you could probably harvest bananas here this week – going to be 86 today!!

@tammyTammy, bananas grow year-round here. As far as knowing when to harvest them, Jeff asked some locals and followed their advice.
I love reading your blog, but I so rarely comment. I'm sorry – I should do this more often! What a cool experience to be able to harvest your own bananas!
