Every fall, our family makes the short trek north and east to Camp Dixon in Dixon, MS to join fellow homescoolers in a weekend camping trip. It is a wonderful family experience that my kids look forward to each year. I am amazed at the life-long friendships that we all are building with other homeschoolers around the state.
Some families camp in RVs or tents. We choose to stay in a cabin–electricity & running water tend to be necessities for us, LOL! The photo above is the view from our cabin door.

On Saturday morning at Camp Dixon, there is a 5K race and a 1 mile fun run. AJ is pictured above after she completed the 1 mile fun run. (She’s in the purple sweater.)
This is Jeff showing off his medal after he won 1st place in the 40+ age group & 3rd overall in the 5K race.

Reconnecting with good friends that I only get to see once or twice a year. (That thing that looks like a turkey is AG all bundled up. It was really cold that morning!)

These are just cute pics of the girls on the road between our cabin and the “tent camping” area.
