JC & I completed Day 9 of the 30-Day Shred this morning. Tomorrow (day 10) is our official weigh & measure day, so I hope to have some great news to share here! And then we’ll be moving up to Level 2 on Monday.
Jackie over at A Step at a Time asked us “shredders” to share about healthy snacks. The sure-fire hunger stopper (after a glass of water) is a handful of almonds. Super healthy, almonds are packed full vitamins, minerals and heart-healthy fats! And they are so easily portable. I TRY to keep a handful in a snack size ziplock in the baby’s diaper bag, so if I get hungry (aka tempted) while we’re away from home, I have something healthy to curb my cravings! And I found this great information about almonds. Seems they are one of God’s superfoods!!
I am also excited about this book I checked out from the library yesterday, Hungry Girl: Recipes & Survival Strategies for Guilt-Free Eating in the Real World. I haven’t tried any of the recipes yet, but I am excited to give it a try. The author, Lisa Lillien, also has a website with lots of recipes & info.
Woohoo! Day 9 for you! That's exciting! You're almost a third of the way through!
Thanks for the compliment you left in my comments! Nope, I'm not in my early 20's…I'm 38! I graduated high school in 1989, and we married the summer of '90.
