(I am attempting to finish up the posts from our fall vacation, so please bear with me.)
We ALMOST rented two hotel rooms for the week… I am so very glad that we found this place, almost at the last minute… Potter’s Ranch is a private Christian retreat center with plenty of rolling hills and accomodations for large families! The cabin we rented was 3 bedroom, 3 bath with a full kitchen. The cost was comparable to that of renting two hotel rooms. I don’t remember the exact cost, but I know if it was MORE than the hotel option, we made up for that by being able to cook/prep our own meals. There was no washer and dryer, but we were allowed to use the ones in the cabin next to ours since no one was staying there. (Another bonus to homeschooling is being able to vacation in the “off-season”.)
We enjoyed, not only the space of the cabin, but the porch swing and the big yard as well.
Deer were seen daily, and even right outside our cabin door just before daybreak most days.
We thought this was a neat camping opportunity for warmer weather. Who wouldn’t want to spend a night in teepee?!
If you ever plan a trip to this area, I highly recommend the comfortable accomodations at Potter’s Ranch.
sounds wonderful!
