Today, I thought I would share one of my favorite frugal resources. The Complete Tightwad Gazette by Amy Daczyzn (Decision). This book is a virtual handbook of frugal living. I discovered this book many years ago, when we were in a terrible financial situation of our own making. It was encouraging and motivating and got me EXCITED about living frugally.
It is full of testimonials fromt the author as well as from readers of her once-printed newsletter. There are lots of “how-to’s” as well as frugal recipes. The newsletter was a cottage industry printed by Amy D. for many years. She is now “retired”, but I was able to find this fairly recent article/interview by Trent over at The Simple Dollar.
Check your local library. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the wealth of information available in this one book!
