Homeschool Memoirs #9–The Freeman Family **REVISED**

THEME (from Homeschool Memoirs)
This week’s theme is about your family. Don’t worry. I’m not going to make you write a long essay about all the great things your family does. Just something little diddy that I know everyone will have fun with!
In case you haven’t seen the you tube, here is the link.

I almost skipped this assignment, but I am glad I took a few minutes to jot a couple lines down. I’m not sure if this is completed but this is all the time I have for the computer right now. If I think of any other lines, I’ll post them later. (To the tune of The Addams Family)

Some people think we’re crazy,
Though they’d never call us lazy,
Our Mama, she’s a daisy…
The Freeman Family
From early in the morning,
We’re busy, busy learning,
Our Daddy is out earning,
For his Freeman Family
We dissected an eye ball,
Took nature walks in the fall,
The machine will take your call,
The Freeman Family…
**Here are the rest of the lines I came up with**
(home)
(grown)
(NOT drones)
It really is a given,
Chores are part of living,
Or else no dinner’s given,
The Freeman Family
Our eldest is a farmer,
The five year old’s a charmer,
The two year old won’t harm ya,
The Freeman Family
Christ is number one,
The harvest is not done,
We’re working for the Son,
The Freeman Family
I hope you enjoyed these & didn’t take it ALL seriously, especially the line “or else no dinner’s given”. I was just pointing to the Scripture I quote to my kids all the time that says, “If you don’t work you don’t eat.”

  1. That is a great ditty!! I should have used something about the answering machine in mine as I try to let it do its job during the school day.

Oh well, ours fits us, maybe a bit too well but I didn’t put our name it it. 😀
